The museum-type grounds were interesting and enjoyable to look around, and the room layout was nice with a comfortable bed. Still, I can't leave a very positive review. The bathroom smelled like raw sewage the whole time, so we left the room window open to help the odor dissipate. We didn't complain because the receptionist was grumpy and said they were completely booked. The bathroom floor was very dirty. I wiped near the shower with a wet Kleenex and picked up hair, dust, and dirt. The bathroom fan didn't work, so after a shower it got steamy and wet. By the nightstand, there was dust and hair along the baseboard and behind the table. It looked like it hadn't been vacuumed or dusted for months. We wanted to watch the World Series at the motel bar, but the cigarette smoke was too thick to stay. Nearly $100 for the room left me very disappointed. I wish I'd paid a little more to stay at one of the other hotels.

So much history here, and you can roll the dice for a free room! The cafe and rooms were fantastic for the price. My room, 222, needs a new mattress, the queen bed closest to the window. I'll definitely be back.

We had a great stay in a dog-friendly room, and the cafe was good for dinner. We'll go back for breakfast and definitely stay here again when passing through. The pricing is good, too. There's also a nice RV stopover park out back, which is how we usually travel, so it was good to see it even though this time we stayed in a room.

We were heading from Phoenix, Arizona to Oregon on vacation and never planned to come here or stay this long. Our travel trailer got stuck in the parking lot, and we ended up there for almost a month. I won't go into all the obstacles, but if manager Elias hadn't helped, we might have lost everything or still be stuck. He was understanding and did so much for us. We appreciate it. The place itself isn't anything special, but we had a lot of fun and felt safe and comfortable while we were there. If we ever return to Tonopah, Nevada, this is the only place we'll stay, because Elias seemed to genuinely care about not making an already rough vacation worse. Thanks again, Elias! Another fun feature: roll three of a kind and your room is free.

The Tonopah Station Hotel isn't a traditional five-star hotel, but for $85 I got a surprisingly good room. I had planned to stay at Best Western, but this was cheaper, and staying at a casino with a restaurant and bar was more fun. The breakfast skillet was hearty, though the menu may not suit people looking for lighter food. This isn't that kind of place. I really appreciate having a full-service bar in the lobby open until midnight. They had bottled beer but no taps. I guess tap beer is hard to find out in the middle of nowhere.
