Driftwood Motel

Disgusting rooms. The linens were filthy, cockroaches were everywhere, and the shower was just a pipe spraying water around with no shower head. The refrigerator and microwave didn't work, and there were homeless people hanging around. Go somewhere else!

The room was tidy and the beds were comfortable, so I got a very comfortable stay and a decent night's sleep. The overnight worker with glasses was AMAZING, fantastic and friendly! HI! The day guy is tall and kind of slender. Highly recommend.

The hotel or motel isn't much to look at, but my weekend room was nice and did what I needed. It's right on PCH, so getting around by car was easy, and there are plenty of restaurants and shops within walking distance. I'd book again if I'm in the area.

The bright lights outside were the best part of this motel. They honestly made me feel safe. The cleanliness, though, was below average: there was hair on the sheets, soiled towels, untidy carpets, and noise from next door, including running water. It's not the worst place on Earth, but don't expect average cleanliness. I think a fair nightly price would be $40-60. I wouldn't come back for a hundred dollars, and that's why I gave it two stars instead of three.
