Our room was very clean and came well stocked with linens, toiletries, and a coffee station. We had a balcony with amazing views. For a resort just outside Capital Reef National Park, the price was reasonable, and it's family owned. The place offers standard hotel rooms, cabins, TeePees, and covered wagons, along with a gym, Jacuzzi, pool, laundry, ice, vending, fire pit, restaurant, and gift shop. There are also a llama corral and horse stables. Well worth the stay.

There was plenty of wildlife right outside our back patio, and the location is beautiful, close to lots of attractions. Our room was nice, but nothing special, and the restaurant was just okay. We knew many things would be shut for winter and had prepared for that. Having stayed at the sister resorts in Florida and Wyoming, we expected the same quality, but sadly this place doesn't meet those standards.

Torrey is a very quiet little town, so don't come expecting much excitement, but the red rock views are hard to beat. To me, they're even better than Sedona, Arizona, and far more peaceful. We used Capitol Reef Resort for two nights while visiting Capitol Reef and before heading to Bryce, and it worked well as a place to sleep near the parks. The visit was pleasant and we had no real complaints, though the website photos suggest a different kind of stay. It's not fancy, just gets the job done. The pool could be better, and the hot tub is small, old, and dated, but after long hikes we enjoyed soaking there and taking in the view. The on-site restaurant was simple, with good food and very large portions. We'll stay again on our next Utah road trip.

The drive along 12 is amazing, and this resort made the trip from Bryce Canyon worth it. It beat everything we experienced in Bryce Canyon for comfort, staff, food, and drinks. It's a lovely place for the area, though it's neither posh nor upscale. Staff were friendly, funny, and helpful, and the food was surprisingly good. The location works well for Capitol Reef and Bryce Canyon.

We went to Capitol Reef Resort while visiting Capital Reef National Park, and its setting is a big part of the appeal. It's one mile from the park entrance, spread across 58 acres among red rock cliffs. Most rooms have sweeping canyon and butte views, especially lovely at sunrise or beneath the clear night sky. Lodging ranges from regular rooms and suites to cabins with porches, Conestoga wagons, and teepees, so there's more variety than a standard hotel. The property is peaceful and the staff offer useful local tips. Rooms are spacious and clean, beds comfortable, and the outdoor pool and hot tub are nice after a day hiking. The restaurant serves hearty home-style food with friendly service. Some of the traditional rooms have decor that feels a bit dated, but the location, calm atmosphere, and choice of places to stay make the experience worthwhile. It seems especially well suited to families or anyone wanting a different kind of stay. A relaxing scenic base for exploring Utah's red rock country.
