The room was fine and the staff were very friendly, but the hot tub wasn’t working and the free breakfast had been discontinued without telling us. The breakfast was still advertised on the outdoor sign. Those were two reasons we’d chosen to stay, and neither change was communicated, even though I got several “Welcome” emails and texts. The pool was fine. Bad policy by Wyndham.

The room was comfortable and clean, the shower worked well, and the Wi-Fi was decent. But breakfast, which was still advertised on Priceline and Google, had been discontinued on Dec 29th. The hot tub was out of order too. Downstairs, the bathrooms had no soap and clogged easily. The heater worked, but was fidgety, flipping between hot and cold.

The room was very clean and had what we needed, including a microwave, mini fridge, cable TV, bathroom amenities, pen and paper, an alarm clock, and a Bible. The furniture was old and clunky, though, and nothing felt especially nice. We had a stunning view of the Utah mountains, and Capitol Reef National Park is only a short 4 mile drive away. There aren’t many places to choose from around here, so I’d recommend it for a quick overnight stay. The building is old and dated, but very clean, with some useful amenities. The pool and hot tub area was beautifully maintained. Guests can use the coin laundry, vending and ice machines, and computers. Breakfast was continental, with no hot food, but there were plenty of choices: three cold cereals, bagels, muffins, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, hot tea, and coffee. The front desk attendant when we checked in was exceptional, young and eager to help. He even jumped over the counter to meet us at the door and hold it open while we brought in our luggage. He was accommodating, friendly, and clearly wanted to please.

The rooms were clean and a good deal for the price. Jamal checked us in and was a pleasure to talk to. There was no tea in the room, but he was happy to bring us tea bags. I took off a star for the breakfast. It was pretty bare and cold: stale bread, muffins and bagels, three kinds of cereal, cold boiled eggs, and bananas. Nothing fresh or hot. Places like this usually have a better spread, so we got breakfast at a cafe in town instead.
