The connecting rooms were a big hit with my granddaughter, and she loved the clean pool too, though she did wish there was a hot tub, LOL. Our room was clean, the beds were comfortable, and breakfast was very good. We highly recommend this Home2 when visiting Towson MD.

There’s plenty to do within walking distance, including restaurants, shopping, and a movie theater. The hotel itself is clean and modern, and the maintenance crew works hard to keep it up to standard every day. Staff were both friendly and professional.

The worst part of our stay happened just as we were preparing to check out. After walking back from breakfast, I went to get the car while my boyfriend went upstairs for our luggage. When I hadn’t heard from him, I learned he was trapped in the elevator. I went straight to the front desk, but the staff seemed unaware and acted as though this happened regularly. They carried on with their work while he waited for the fire department. Nobody offered updates, reassurance, or support. Once he was finally out, there wasn’t an apology, any urgency, or compensation. The lack of concern and accountability was shocking. Our stay had started well, which made the incident even more disappointing. We had hoped to give Hilton another chance, but we’ll keep staying with Marriott.

I’ve been staying at the Hilton at 21 W Susquehanna Ave, Towson, Maryland for nearly a month after a fire displaced me from my home. I travel often with my children and have stayed at many hotels, including Hilton properties, so I’m very disappointed by how we’ve been treated here. Housekeeping has been inconsistent, sometimes skipping days, and the work often seems rushed or unfinished when they do come. A few other staff members have been kind and welcoming, but that hasn’t made up for the experience with a kitchen employee I believe is named Eddie. He’s a short Hispanic male, and his behavior has made us uncomfortable. One morning, while my children were making food at breakfast, he stood nearby staring at them with visible disdain and shook his head. He may not have known I was their mother, but guests, especially children, shouldn’t be made to feel judged or unwelcome. Since then, I’ve seen him speak kindly to other guests, particularly those with different skin tones, while ignoring my family and me. He doesn’t greet us and often gives us cold, dismissive looks. Today, after housekeeping removed our old sheets without replacing them, I called down for clean ones. Eddie brought a bundle to our room; when a sheet slipped onto the floor, he looked at me and walked away without saying anything. There was also the pancake machine incident. I tilted the mix container to pour some out, as I’d seen another employee demonstrate. Eddie came over, snatched the pot from my hand, and said, “Don’t do that.” I told him firmly, “Don’t snatch from me. Another employee told me it was fine, and she’s done it herself.” His tone and actions felt needlessly aggressive and unprofessional. A local agent who works nearby recognized who I meant as soon as I started describing the man in the kitchen. She described him before I’d given details, then told me about past inappropriate or strange remarks, possibly involving children, and said his energy and behavior toward people of color was “disgusting.” That matched what I’ve experienced, and made clear that others have noticed his behavior too. The conduct of this employee and the lack of urgency from housekeeping have ruined our stay during an already stressful time. I won’t return, and I wouldn’t recommend this location, especially to families or people of color who might face similar treatment. I hope Hilton Corporate investigates his conduct and works to ensure all guests are treated respectfully, inclusively, and professionally.
