Delamar Traverse City

We got a corner suite upgrade for my Wife’s 50th birthday, which made a quick, special trip feel even nicer. The room was spacious and comfortable, with a great lake view, a full bath and a half bath. The fitness room is small and could be better for anyone used to a gym, though it works for a one-time cardio or strength session. The lobby and open, sprawling hallway made us want to explore the guest amenities: heated indoor and outdoor pools, a hot tub, a highly rated onsite restaurant, indoor and outdoor gathering spaces, an outdoor bar, and a good coffee stand. Staff were friendly and accommodating from the moment we arrived. Delamar is a first-rate stay, worth paying a little more than nearby competitors. I’d recommend it for a romantic getaway, a family or work trip, or a wine tour on the Old Mission Point. Thanks to the Delamar Staff for a great visit.

The staff were helpful, and the room was clean and nice. They never charged me for anything I hadn’t eaten or drunk from my room, and the place was clean throughout. I have four kids, but the quiet, relaxing, adults-only-resort feel suited me. I wouldn’t bring my kids here, and that’s okay. We had a lovely winter visit on the bay, with fun in the heated outdoor pool while it snowed, plus a wonderful hot tub and sauna.

The heated outdoor pool was a standout, almost like a big hot tub. It was windy and in the 30s when we visited, but the water was around 90°. You can take cocktails from the bar into the pool, and servers also come around to take drink orders. We liked that the adults-only rule after 9 pm was actually enforced. The hotel is close to Front St restaurants and shops, and not far from wineries on Old Mission Peninsula. Rooms and hotel were very nice and updated, and staff were kind. My husband and I had a relaxing birthday weekend and would definitely stay again when we’re back in TC.

On our wedding day, everything came together beautifully. The food was plentiful and delicious, the drinks were amazing, and the celebration felt magical. I felt like a princess and can’t thank the team enough. For more than a year, we worked tirelessly with Delamar to make the wedding fit us. Susan Scoby and her team, Kim, Erica, Kirstin, and everyone, handled all the details. Susan was professional and confident from our first meeting, with a clear vision that still had plenty of room for our ideas. I brought the team lots of questions and worries throughout the year, and they stayed calm, patient, and responsive. They were always willing to meet or talk by phone and help with both small details and big concerns. If I could do it again, I’d choose Delamar every time.
