The Beach Haus Resort

We had a comfortable, good-sized room. It looked a little dated, but it was pretty clean apart from a few corners. The location worked really well for a day visiting wineries, and the hotel felt like good value. Front desk staff were outstanding. We called from our rainy campsite, and Gavina was friendly and quick to respond, letting us check in early so we could shower. We appreciated that a lot.

Being right by the water made our stay feel so peaceful, and the views were breathtaking. We kept stopping to take them in. The location was perfect, and the beautiful hotel and grounds were thoughtfully designed and very well kept. Everything felt relaxed and welcoming. We loved it and can't wait to return!

We had a great north-facing view of the lake at this clean beach resort. Breakfast comes in a box delivered to your room, with several options to choose from. My wife picked the breakfast sandwich box, while I went with the one with two boiled eggs and yogurt. The lobby coffee, made from Brazil, was great too.

The friendly staff and the beachfront location are real pluses. The sand beach is great, the views are incredible, and it's close to the airport. But it feels like a value motel, so expectations matter. The hallways carry every sound into the rooms because the hard floors don't dampen noise, and there's little sound insulation between rooms. The rooms are dated, and the kitchenette is cramped, almost claustrophobic. It also lacks basics like a can opener, cutting board, measuring cup, and coffee mugs, and what is provided is very cheap. Breakfast is prepackaged and only so-so. In room 214, many vertical blinds were missing, as the photo shows, so there wasn't much privacy.
