Gardner Farm Inn

The morning after our wedding, John made us the best breakfast we've ever had. My husband still talks about it. He also showed us around the house and shared the stories behind the wonderfully designed rooms and their furnishings. The other guests were friendly too, and we enjoyed hearing how they came to be there and where they were headed. We stayed in the Mae West room, with one of the comfiest beds I've ever slept in. John even stayed up to greet us on our wedding night and make sure we were settled. This place was one of the highlights of the whole day, and I can't recommend it enough.

Breakfast at John’s home, the Gardner Farm Inn, was a delicious homemade spread: French toast with stewed cinnamon apples, bacon, and coffee. Our toddler was fascinated by the antiques, and the whole visit felt like staying with a relative. It reminded us how much more enjoyable a real B&B can be than an average hotel. We had a comfortable, relaxing night in a spacious, clean king room with a lovely spa-like bathroom. We'd definitely stay again if we travel through the area. Thank you, John!

The Gardner Farm Inn has become one of our favorite places we've stayed, thanks to John's interesting collection of objects and the extremely comfy beds. He was a wonderful host, and the breakfast he cooked for us was fantastic. My husband and I stayed the night after getting married in Troy and had a great time. Highly recommend it if you enjoy maximalist decor.

We only had time for a quick stop, but John and his friend Carla made the evening feel warm and welcoming. John was authentic and kind, treating us like great friends, maybe even better than family. We chatted with them before turning in. After a day of flying, breakfast was a lovely start to our trip. John prepared it with delicious flavors and presented it beautifully while we sat around the island talking like family. We don't travel east often, but we'd check here again if we're in the area.
