After getting the keys, we went to settle in and found the room in terrible shape. It felt like an apartment a resident had just moved out of, without anyone cleaning it. There were holes in the coffee table and walls, the leather chair was worn down and broken on the floor, and a hole in the sliding bathroom door looked like someone had punched it. The tub's shower curtain was dirty brown along the bottom. Upstairs in the loft, the sliding doors were off their hinges, and the bottom of a door had bite marks that looked like they came from a dog. The beds were very hard and the carpet was disgusting. Kids were running everywhere, and our next-door neighbor was banging on the door of the room beside us. The property also needs a lot of cleaning and maintenance around it. Since people can rent units monthly to live there, it has more of a neighborhood feel. I can't believe the room wasn't inspected before a guest was given it. We asked to cancel and get our money back, and were told the refund would arrive in 24 hours. It's been two days. A room in that condition shouldn't cost $600. If you're considering staying here, I'd suggest seeing the room and area before committing. I won't go back.

There was plenty of room for all six of us and our two dogs to spread out, and breakfast was good. A few things could have been handled better. The WiFi instructions were outdated, and guests weren't told until calling the front desk. We also needed clearer communication about the lack of cleaning service on a holiday. The day after Thanksgiving, there wasn't enough seating for all the guests, and there wasn't much help with breakfast.

The free breakfast was phenomenal, and there was plenty to do, so we never got bored. We had come looking for shelter while waiting out a power outage, but ended up having a ball. The rooms were really nice, with a fireplace, fully stocked eat-in kitchen, huge king bed, and a couch with a pullout sofa. Our bottom-floor walkout gave my son and his friend space to play soccer. They also had horseshoes available, and we walked to the basketball court at the front of the property. There was an outdoor pool and hot tub too. There were some parties at night, but overall we had an awesome stay.

I booked this for a quiet birthday break, but the first room was so dirty I had to ask to move. The kitchen floor was sticky, the bathroom was nasty, the hotel hair dryer was covered in dirt, and the couch had stains. They moved me into an accessible room without telling me that was what they were giving me. I’m not disabled, and someone who needed that room might have needed it. The second room was better, but still not clean enough. This place has really gone downhill and felt like being in the hood. I wouldn’t stay here again or recommend it. They need to close for remodeling and a deep clean.

People apparently live here too, which makes for a strange hotel I’d only suggest as a last resort. The desk staff were very firm that any noise complaint could mean losing the deposit, even though the condition of the place hardly suggests that money is going toward repairs. The room might have been fine if it weren’t so run down. The bathroom drain didn’t work, the mirror had a hole through it into the wall, and one arm was broken off the office chair. The decor and furniture looked like DIY jobs or garage sale finds. The floor was sticky and the upholstery stained.
