Phil and his wife were so kind after our vehicle broke down and we barely made it to Dessert View Inn. They only had one room with one bed, but Phil found an extra mattress for our kids and offered us food while we were stranded. He even offered to help with the vehicle the next day. The room was clean and had a kitchenette with a fridge, microwave, stove, pots, and pans, much better than I expected. I didn’t use the shower, but it had what you’d need.
We stayed here last month while in town on business. The owners were attentive, helpful, and accommodating, and the price for our extended stay was reasonable. The room was fine, and the area seemed fairly safe and well located. Pets are allowed, though for morning walks it’s best to take them to one of the nearby dog parks. The small washroom has no windows that open, so an exhaust fan would help. We tried to avoid hot showers because steam seemed to get trapped, and we noticed some peeling around the shower. I’d definitely stay here again.
We passed through in 2023 on a road trip from Oregon to Roswell, and this little place did the job during a long drive. It’s a bit of a hole in the wall, but the beds were comfortable, the rooms clean, and the shower good. The room was hotter than hell, though still about 20 degrees cooler than outside. The staff were very friendly, and there was pretty good food nearby. It’s on the edge of an already small town, so there isn’t much there, as we expected. The whole town turned out to be a pleasant surprise.
Phillip was so kind, welcoming, and accommodating. He helped me a lot with my health condition, and he was just a great guy.
This was a great little find for a night on the way south. The rate was very reasonable, the room clean, the bed comfortable, and it’s pet friendly. Nothing fancy, but the shower had plenty of hot water. The staff were really friendly over the phone and in person. There’s a small dog run along the side of the building, and a convenience store and bar just a short walk away next door.
