Travelodge by Wyndham Truth or Consequences

The beds were comfy, the showers had good pressure and plenty of hot water, and breakfast was better than I expected: cereal, yogurt, heat-and-eat sandwiches, a pancake machine, juice, and coffee. The price was great, and the staff were friendly and helpful from check-in on. It’s right by Walmart, which is a big deal here, and within walking distance of a restaurant. If I’m ever in T or C again, I won’t stay anywhere else.

It’s easy to reach right off the interstate, and the spot is quiet, with Walmart next door. Our recently renovated room was clean and had nice amenities. The bed was very comfortable, and the water pressure was great. The staff greeted us with smiles and were accommodating. I’d gladly recommend this hotel.

For $100 even, this was a good value if you’re in T or C to explore and mostly need a place to sleep for a night or two. The rooms are spacious for the most part and generally clean, though it seemed like ours hadn’t been mopped, with dust on the floor. The big, high-quality TVs are handy if you bring a console for games or movies. Beds were very comfortable, but the pillows weren’t great, so bring your own. The beds looked very clean when I checked them closely. There’s a mini fridge and microwave in each room, plus two sinks, one in the bathroom and one outside it. That made it easy for my girlfriend to do her makeup without taking over the bathroom, and the lighting was good for that. The bathroom was clean and fairly spacious, though the toilet seemed dated and I had to hold the handle to make it flush properly. Breakfast was pretty good, with burritos and an amazing pancake machine that cooked them perfectly, but the options were quite limited. The internet cut out here and there, too. Still, I’d recommend it for a couple of nights if you’ll be out exploring.

It looks a little rundown, but this was the most comfortable place I’ve stayed in a while. The beds and pillows were amazing, and my whole family slept really well. Hot water kept running the whole time, so showers were a dream. The automatic pancake maker also made for a very good breakfast. I recommend this place a lot.
