Motel 6 Tucson, AZ

The staff were friendly, and for the price it was a decent deal. But this room was nowhere near the Motel 6 standard I know. It hadn't been properly cleaned or maintained, and it was badly lacking compared with other hotels at the same price. There was long hair all over the shower and tub walls. Above the vanity, the ceiling was damaged and unrepaired, with paint bubbling from water damage and black-colored mold in the corner. The rooms are old and need a lot of work. There was no in-room microwave either. My cable wasn't working, so maintenance came to look at it. He didn't know much about cable boxes. The card was partly pulled out, so I removed it and put it back in, and the cable worked. It was a simple fix.

We called ahead, and the gentleman taking the reservation found and held exactly the room we needed: first floor, ADA, and a king bed. It was a good-sized room, and getting into the bathroom was easy. Just be aware the bathroom has a tub rather than a walk-in shower.

My landlord booked and confirmed a two-day room with the staff. When I returned the next day, all my things were gone, even though my key still worked. The front desk said they'd canceled the reservation because we hadn't checked in with them after the first night. They did nothing to resolve it, so we had to be booked into a different motel.

The location is convenient for me, and I keep coming back because I love that they welcome my dogs and treat them like family, the way we do as their owners. That's why I love staying here so much. I'd be happier if the towels were upgraded a bit. I gave the service four stars because I'd like the front desk attendants to smile now and then. Sometimes it's hard to tell whether they want to talk to you. Other than that, I love staying at Motel 6. ❤️✌️
