The Alice Hotel

The staff were really nice, and I liked how convenient the location was for getting to my destination each morning during the Tucson gem show. The tradeoff is being close to the freeway, so the traffic noise is very noticeable. They supply earplugs, but it didn't bother me personally. My room was clean, the mattress was comfortable, and there were four pillows with two different levels of fluffiness. The appliances were new, and there was even a steamer. The shower products were unmarked, but included soap, lotion, body wash, shampoo, and conditioner. Free coffee, tea, and hot cocoa were available day and night, plus pan dulces in the mornings. It is a motel, with doors opening to the outside, which I actually enjoyed. I'll try to book for next year's Tucson gem show once the pool is finished.

The staff were super friendly and helpful, and nobody acted strange about us being gay. I especially liked the double shower heads and all the neat little touches. We took a big road trip around the Southwest, and this was easily the best hotel we stayed in. If I make it back to Tucson, I'll stay here again.

The bed was so comfy, and I love how spacious and pretty the rooms are. It's a great place for a getaway, especially if you want a nice comfortable room without spending a fortune. The big TV and two showerheads were great, and the full-length mirror is perfect for selfies. They even have a complimentary blow dryer in the room. Five stars from me, definitely recommend!

We'd been put off by another hotel nearby that was disgusting, so we didn't expect much from this place at the same price. What a nice surprise: our room was spotless, really comfortable, and the staff were warm and welcoming. It's not a fancy resort, but the beds are soft and the showers are great. There's no microwave in the room, though you can use one, and laundry facilities and irons are available too. I'll be glad to come back when the swim club opens.
