We chose an old roadside motel on Route 66 while traveling cross-country, and the Rock-A-Billy room was great. It had a large sitting area and a small kitchenette separate from the king-size bed, all in a spacious room. The decor was all about Elvis and Wanda Jackson. Highly recommend staying here.

I'm really into mid-century style, so this place was right up my alley. Loved that it had original fixtures and furniture and was CLEAN. The radio was on when we entered, and the TV was set to an oldies channel, such nice little touches. The sign out front is right: comfy beds and speedy internet. The shower pressure was divine, too. There's a cool outdoor lounging spot, and the lobby is super cute, with fun merch and a fishtank, wooaohh. Thanks, Rich!

The Rawhide suite was worth paying a little more for, in my opinion. It's a roomy, comfortable tribute to Clint Eastwood, nicely done in a western theme. We were glad we made the trip and enjoyed meeting Rich, the owner, and hearing how much the motel means to him. Tucumcari is pretty sleepy but has a real Route 66 feel. Before leaving town, we spent the morning at the Railroad museum and Historical museum, and both were great.

The Rockabilly Suite was immaculate, with a comfortable bed, bath, kitchen, and seating space. Vintage furniture and fun art set the mood, and Rockabilly was playing on the radio as we walked in. A nice, accommodating owner, too. Check out the Camel in the front office. Great motel on route 66 in Tucumcari New Mexico, a fun place to get your kicks.

A small but amazing throwback stay on Route 66. The room was so clean, better than most brand-new hotel/motels, and I used to work as a housekeeper for over 15 years. The front desk worker was friendly and helpful. We'll make this our regular stop on our travels. Bravo.
