Quality Inn Tulare

For $100 total with tax, the updated rooms were clean, and I thought the bed was fine, though my husband found his hard. The room itself smelled fine, but the hallway had a mildew smell. Our bathroom light kept flickering and they couldn’t fix it, and the hair dryer didn’t work. The toilet backed up, too. There were plenty of rooms, but when I asked the front desk for a handicapped room, they said they couldn’t change it because I’d booked through a third party like booking.com, and that the room was blocked. I think employees should be able to change that and go the extra mile. Also, ask for a room away from the freeway, since it can get loud.

There’s a shopping outlet right behind the hotel, and it’s close to stores, restaurants, and the freeway. Breakfast was good, nothing fancy, but still nice to have. My one issue was that there wasn’t a gym, even though the listing clearly said there was one. The excuse I got was that the amenities list hadn’t been updated.

The room was clean and stocked, though some spots could have used better sweeping. Nearby stores are easy to walk to. The man at checkout was good, but the guy checking me in was in a rush, so I couldn’t really ask questions.

The rooms were the cleanest I’ve seen in Tulare, and the hotel was decorated very festively for the holiday. It’s right behind the Tulare outlets and near lots of restaurants. There’s free full breakfast, the pool and spa were working every time, and laundry costs $1.50 a load. The staff service was the best.
