I've stayed here for years because it's so easy with my dogs, but I won't come back. The beds are clean, though the floors and walls are questionable. My car was broken into on the side where the back door's key card lock doesn't work, so you have to prop it open with a rock. After that, I came back and parked right in front. When I asked whether they had security or cameras, since cars are constantly being broken into at the back, nobody seemed to hear me. The hotel is going downhill, and the latest shooting in the parking lot, along with people breaking into cars, doesn't surprise me. I love aloft hotels, but these cheap owners need to spend money on cameras and security to protect their guests.

It was 9 pm, and I walked into the property without seeing anyone who worked there, though there were plenty of people sitting in the lobby. When someone finally came to the desk, she said a room might take anywhere from 30 minutes to hours. I asked what was happening, and she said several workers had walked out, leaving only two people to clean rooms, one of them the general manager. I asked about a bartender, and she said they'd quit too. I requested a refund or to speak to the general manager. The manager came out looking, in my view, like she was in pajamas, with no uniform. She offered to cancel, which wouldn't give me a refund, and told me to contact the third party I'd booked through. I said I booked on the aloft website, and she still called it a third party. I turned to the people there and wished them luck, saying they'd take your money and leave you without a room because everyone had quit. The manager said nobody had quit. I told her I was repeating what the front desk person had said and pointed to her. The manager then yelled at the desk worker in an unprofessional way, so I left. Now the booking service, which apparently works through the website, says they need to contact the property owner to verify what happened. This is so misleading. If I were making it up, why would I be calling at 1 am on New Years Eve?

I hate to leave a negative review, but travelers should know this hotel is very poorly maintained. The carpets and upholstery were filthy, and the marks along the halls looked like many pet stains, though they could have been spills. My first room was far too dirty, with live spiders in a corner, dingy towels, and an overpowering smell I couldn't identify. It might have been air freshener covering another odor. The hotel was full, but the apologetic staff offered another room. I took it rather than search for a different hotel at 10pm, even though it was still nowhere near the quality I'd expect from a Marriott hotel. That room was worn and unappealing, with a toilet that kept running, no shampoo or conditioner in the shower dispensers, and no body wash dispenser. I checked the beds carefully, though, and the bedding was fresh and clean. This was only an overnight stay so I could attend the conference next door. If I needed the room for more than eight hours of sleep, I would have left. This is my first review, and I hate to be negative, but travelers, beware.

The beds were really comfortable, and we liked the sitting areas. We’ve stayed at the downtown Aloft before and had a good time then too. This visit was very good apart from the shower, which ran extremely hot and had such high pressure that we couldn’t adjust it.

Getting around Tulsa for shopping and other activities was easy from here. Lauren and the housekeeping team made sure our room was ready and were so accommodating with what we needed. Their service really stuck with us, and we’ll definitely come back.
