Hyatt Regency Tulsa Downtown

The views were great, and the room was spacious and looked clean. The bed was comfortable, though it wobbled a little and the sheets felt like plastic. The small bathroom looked clean too, but the shower head sprayed in all directions and the tub floor was so slippery that my husband had to catch my arm as I got in. I was glad he was there. The room stayed warm even with the thermostat set as low as it would go, so we slept without sheets for much of the night. It was so late by bedtime that we were too tired to call the front desk. The hotel itself was nice, clean, and well located, but we had issues with the room.

Every staff member I've met here seems to go above and beyond, and the guest service is consistently great. On my latest stay, Tanner was generous and helpful during my late night check-in. Susanna and Jess from housekeeping on the 10th floor did me a few favors too, including finding me good razors after I'd forgotten mine. I love this hotel and feel I can count on it for cleanliness, a quiet stay, good amenities, and hospitality.

The room, 711, was spacious, which we appreciated, but the bed was extremely uncomfortable. There was no microwave, so we had to go to the front desk area to heat food, and the Avery Kitchen menu looked outdated. We didn't get any guidance about parking or the gate. Valet took our car, and we only learned at checkout that it cost $30. It seemed like they assumed we were repeat guests who already knew the rules. My husband booked this staycation for Friday, 2/13, our first time at the property, and it's likely our last. He wasn't told about the Valentine's package shown on the website when he booked. When I asked about it after checking in on 2/14, I wasn't asking to add it, only why it hadn't been mentioned as an option. The reply was a smile, with no explanation. Between that and the communication and comfort issues, the stay was disappointing.

My favorite hotel in Tulsa. The rooms are nice, with soft sheets, and the staff are polite. The curly-haired woman in the restaurant was especially cool at breakfast, and even remembered my name on day two. Breakfast was yummy, though there was way too much food. My two-egg breakfast must have had at least three eggs. They offer free toothpaste if you forget yours, like I did. For housekeeping tips, you have to scan a barcode. The views from the top were just okay because of the buildings to the west. The vending machine had run out of Coke. Who runs out of Coke?
