The complimentary breakfast had a decent selection, and the hotel felt quiet and safe. Our room was spacious, clean, and well kept, with a comfortable bed. Wi-Fi and air conditioning worked fine, and there were enough outlets and good lighting to unwind or get some work done. Check-in went smoothly, and the staff were helpful and friendly from the start.

Breakfast was convenient and adequate, but the room problems affected our stay enough that we’d likely choose another hotel next time. The evening clerk was kind and made check-in welcoming and easy. Once inside, though, the room was extremely hot and took over four hours to cool. We only stayed one night, so we put up with it, but a room should be cooled before guests arrive, especially after a reservation has been made in advance. There was visible trash left behind, so it seemed only partly cleaned, and one lamp didn’t work. Thanks for replying. I appreciate the offer to make things right, but we arrived late with an exhausted toddler, and changing rooms then would have been an extra burden for our family. The room should have been ready when we got there. The heat, visible cleanliness problems, and broken light should have been handled beforehand, particularly if rooms are inspected as you said. I’m just describing what happened, and hope the team pays closer attention to room readiness and details going forward.

The room itself was okay, but the pillows were cheap and uncomfortable, and we didn’t like the area. On our first night, a homeless man was in the parking garage by the stairs, watching us as we came in. I was glad my husband was with me, since I wouldn’t have felt safe alone. We’d booked a king through Expedia, but at the desk the woman said Expedia had reserved two queens and that no king rooms were left. She claimed Expedia often advertises one room type just to get your money. We’ve used third-party booking sites for years without trouble. Then we found one bed without any sheets, while the other was made. Expedia told us the hotel was responsible, which I’d already suspected. Since hotels and booking sites each have room allotments, I’m guessing someone at the hotel used a room set aside for Expedia. I’ll bring it up with the manager. I was very unhappy and won’t stay here again. All in all, it was an okay hotel, but not one I’d choose again.

We booked one room through Expedia for two coworkers and me during a snowstorm. We work overnight at a nearby hospital and thought staying there would be safer and let us get more sleep. The first night was fine: the room was warm and made up, the staff were polite, and the small parking spaces in the garage weren’t a big deal. The next night was awful. After work, we got back and found the door lock wouldn’t work. None of our keys would open it, including the housekeeper’s and manager’s keys, and almost all our belongings were trapped inside. We waited in the lobby and dining area for a couple of hours while staff tried to fix it, but nobody knew how. After about two hours, they let us sleep in another room while they worked on the door. When we woke up, there was no note or phone message saying it had been fixed. I had to call the front desk and hope they’d managed to open it so we could get our things. They had, but the whole mess made us late for work. Accidents happen, and I wasn’t going to complain until I checked my bank account and saw an extra $111 fee. I called the hotel several times, but each time the phone AI hung up without transferring me.

When our hospital needed to keep staff on duty around the clock, this La Quinta came through for us. The manager answered every call and text and worked hard to make rooms available for our staff at any hour. She was kind, responsive, and clearly understood how urgent our work was. Our team found the rooms clean and comfortable, with what they needed to rest and recharge. The whole staff treated everyone warmly and respectfully, which made a real difference during a stressful time. This became a partnership and a lifeline for healthcare workers doing critical work, and we’re deeply grateful. We’d recommend this La Quinta without hesitation, especially to organizations looking for dependable, compassionate lodging. Thank you for stepping up when it mattered.
