OYO Townhouse Tulsa Woodland Hills

At 3:30 in the morning, I decided I'd rather sleep in my car than stay in the room I paid for. The toilet was disconnected and unusable, as shown in the dated photo. There were several marks on the carpet that looked like poop, and I was itching all over. I also found no shampoo or conditioner. I've booked hundreds of hotel stays, and this place was the nastiest of them all. They charged me extra fees at the counter, beyond the hotel taxes, just fees. I needed time to think it through, but I feel robbed. They can keep my money if they need it more than I do.

The pictures online are misleading, and this place needs a lot of attention and upgrades. The room smelled like an old, neglected house. The furniture was old and falling apart, the walls had drink stains, and the bathroom door wouldn't close because its latch was on backwards. The area felt sketchy, too. We've stayed at this chain before, but this location was awful. We booked two nights, stayed one, then paid for another hotel the second night and lost the money we'd spent here.

The only thing I'm commenting on is the room itself, and I'm not writing this lightly or trying to be disrespectful. The bed felt like sleeping on a rock laid on concrete. That's literally how hard it was, no exaggeration or bad intent. Keep that in mind when deciding.

The entrance is up a sort of hill, which is a drawback, but it's still better than most places at this price. Everything is close by, and I felt safe sleeping there. I didn't worry about bedbugs biting me or people wandering around at night. The service is good, the staff understand what you need, and someone is always at the counter. If nobody's there late, there's a way to contact someone. I hadn't stayed here in years, and after trying another OYO location, this one compared well. It's worth the price, and if I need a room again, it'd be my first choice.
