River Spirit Casino Resort

My favorite Oklahoma casino. I usually win more on the slots here than anywhere else I’ve visited, and the rewards program is decent. The food is great at whichever restaurant you pick. Fireside Grill’s chicken pot pie is fantastic.

I believe I was there 1/16. When I realized my phone was missing as I was leaving, the pit boss went above and beyond to help me calm down and contacted security. Luckily, an honest person had turned it in. Thank you to that anonymous person, I would’ve bought you a drink. The pit boss deserves recognition. The casino is beautiful and extremely clean, and the non-smoking section really has no smoke smell at all. Not sure how they do that, but it works. Great staff.

I went to the KC & the Sunshine Band concert on January 29th. The venue itself is first class, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The problem was parking and traffic control. They kept letting cars into the main garage when it was full. The lanes are narrow, with long trucks and trailer hitches sticking into them, and once you reach the top there’s no way to turn around. It was a complete mess, and I’m amazed there weren’t collisions in all that traffic. Someone monitoring open spaces and a Security car stopping cars from entering would help. A “Garage Full” sign directing people to an outside lot would too. We ended up parking outside anyway, after wasting 20 minutes going up and down the garage levels. In the freezing weather, we saw no shuttle vans along the long walk to the venue. All of this could’ve been prevented. Do better River Spirit.

The rooms are 5 star, and you won’t be disappointed. Margaritas Ville water resort is a beautiful place to enjoy the scenery indoors or outside. It’s by shopping and the praying hands monument at Oral Robert’s university.
