Best Western Tumwater-Olympia Inn

The hotel felt dated, and breakfast ending at 9:30 a.m. made for an early start when we'd hoped for a more relaxed morning. The bed was extremely uncomfortable, and we could hear everything through the thin walls. I'm fairly sure we were given a full-size bed instead of the queen we'd booked. It was so small that my husband had to sleep on the couch. I chose this place for a family stay after reading positive reviews, but it was very disappointing. I've stayed at other Best Western properties, and this was easily one of the worst. We won't come back.

The front desk gentleman let us look at several rooms so we could pick the one that seemed easiest to access while I recovered from hip replacement surgery nearby. That was a huge help. I stayed for two nights, and the bed was so comfortable I remember waking after surgery and looking forward to getting back into it. The room itself was incredibly comfortable too, with perfect sheets and a great choice of pillows. We'd stay here again.

The musty, mildewy smell was strong in the room, and it started in the lobby, where the ceiling tiles showed water damage. We were tired from driving, but I had to leave because of my own health issues and concerns. This place needs refreshing and remodeling. Mark at the front desk was understanding and professional.

The hotel was quiet, updated, and clean, and I loved that breakfast was included. Traveling with dogs, a Best Western is always a win for me. The gentleman at the front desk suggested a lovely park I could walk to with the dogs, and I even stopped at a brewery on the way back.
