Seasons Inn Traverse City

The beds are comfy, though a little too soft for me, and the pool and hot tub are well maintained. I do wish the pool area had some seating. Anyone not swimming had to sit on the floor, with nowhere else to put their things. Still, this is a small, very nice hotel with friendly staff and a very clean feel. I'd stay again!

The hotel itself is nice enough, but the walls are paper thin. A toddler screamed in the next room for most of the night and into the morning, and we couldn't sleep. At first we thought the noise was in the hallway, but it was coming from next door. If you're just sleeping one night and leaving, it might be okay. For a quiet morning or a relaxing stay, it's a poor choice, and you could be woken by the people beside you.

The room was clean, the shower was nice, the hot tub was hot, there were towels, and the lobby coffee was good. It is pet friendly and allows two pets. But you get what you pay for. The mattresses are extremely soft, so if you need anything at all firm, this won't work. The hotel is older and right beside a seedy motel, and I don't see the owner doing much to maintain it. There was never anyone at the front desk. You have to use the phone for everything, from checking in to getting change for the vending machine. The hot tub jets didn't work, and the pool and hot tub showed visible wear and chipping. Plastic utensils were locked away when we went looking for some to use in the room. The TV only had antenna channels, no internet channels, and the nightstand and clock were unplugged.

The breakfast was continental, nothing fancy but pretty nice for the price. The rooms were clean, the staff polite, and the environment pleasant. The hotel is directly across from the lake, and the price was really good for an outstanding hotel. I had a great stay and plan to come back when I'm in Traverse for business again.
