We'd stayed here before, but it seems to be slipping and needs some attention. The price was about average, yet we'll probably go elsewhere next time. The rooms were clean, but worn and dated, and the unpleasant smell was noticeable even if it wasn't as strong in the room. On arrival, the smell in the building was like dirty fryer oil. Sorry, Marriott, you're failing on this one.

There are EV charging stations a few minutes away, and the hotel has easy highway access, with local restaurants nearby. Parking was well lit. Inside, the foyer is spacious, with a bar and an entertainment area. Our room was clean and roomy, too. A great stay overall.

The Courtyard Marriott in Tupelo has a nice-looking exterior, but what’s inside didn't meet the impression it gives. As an Ambassador Titanium Elite member, I felt that status brought no value or recognition from the hotel or its staff. There were visible problems in the room, including signs of mold, which is concerning. Cleanliness and maintenance need serious attention, and the property feels overdue for a major refresh. The staff did handle requests, but often seemed low-energy and bothered rather than welcoming. A more attentive attitude would help. There's potential here, but the room condition and guest experience need a major change. I'd rate the stay 3 out of 5.

This place didn't meet the Marriott standard I'm used to as a Platinum Elite member. There were no USB ports in the room, and when I asked the front desk for an adapter so I could charge my phone, they said they didn't provide one. I went to the Bistro for a glass of wine at 5:10 p.m., ten minutes after its posted 5 p.m. opening, but the crew hadn't shown up. It's convenient, but this was a miss. Stay at another property.

The rooms are roomy and very nice, with plenty of clean linens. They have updated TVs, microwaves, and mini fridges.
