Bel-Aire Motel Tuscaloosa

I've been here since December 7, after losing my home. It's an older building, but the people work hard, the rooms are very clean, and the staff are friendly and help with whatever you need. I've been diagnosed with heart failure and have less than six months to live. I don't know what I would do without these people.

This was disgusting and unacceptable, and we're not five-star hotel snobs. The room smelled HORRIBLE. There was no deadbolt key, the inside doorknob kept coming off, and the bathroom had no inside knob or receptacle. The sheet was nasty, and there was no hot shower water Saturday night. The metal bed frame squeaked with every move, and one side of the bed had no table. Too many things were wrong.

The rates are reasonable, and booking online gets you a bit of a discount. Staff at Bel~Aire are always around to make the stay comfortable and pleasant. Rooms are surprisingly spacious and very clean. It's an older motel and the showers show their age, which gives it a kind of rustic look. One thing they do that most motels and hotels don't is wash the bedspreads and blankets regularly. Even some of the most expensive places only wash them every month or two. I've enjoyed my stay and will be back. I'd recommend it to anyone.

Worst $99 I've spent. There were roaches and a stain ON THE CEILING. The paint and mud work were HORRIFIC. A wire was exposed over the shower, the TV didn't work, the sheets had stains, and only one outlet worked. Duct tape covered a big hole in the sink. We only stayed one night.
