This is a quaint, safe, clean MOTEL near I-20 in Tuscaloosa, with a very friendly staff. Rates were well below the newer chains, while the amenities were quite competitive. Breakfast was lovingly prepared by a lovely lady, with items you don't see on an average hotel breakfast bar, and there were cookies in the lobby too. The furnishings have been used for a while, so if you need everything brand new, this may not be for you. They're perfectly functional, though, and at such a reasonable price I didn't mind at all.

The breakfast was a highlight, with scrambled eggs and different meat choices. The breakfast lady was A1, kept things clean, and made sure the line stayed stocked. Housekeeping promptly helped with any extra services I needed, and everyone at the front desk was supportive and helpful. They also gave me a great list of local places to eat. I wasn't sure what to expect at first, but the hotel has many more pros than cons. The property is a bit dated, though the rooms were thoroughly cleaned. I'd definitely recommend staying here, it would be a 10/10 if I could.

We walked in and immediately saw a roach, with gnats flying around too. There was also a very unpleasant smell that made the stay uncomfortable. The room's cleanliness and condition were unacceptable, and I would not recommend staying here. I really feel I should have received a refund.

For a night while traveling, it's a decent motel, though I wouldn't want to stay several days. The room was decent and cleanish, but dated, and the walls are paper thin. I heard people arguing on one side and a dog barking on the other. I chose a cheaper smoking room, which smelled okay, not awful. Parking was really good: I could leave my car right in front of my room and keep an eye on it. I stayed one night. There's a $100 security deposit, and they copy your ID at the front desk and ask for your license plate number.
