Richard at the front desk was genuinely kind and welcoming. The grounds and Lodge are beautifully kept, and our room, one of the smaller ones, still felt spacious. It was clean, the bed was just right, and the windows looked out onto an enchanting path into the woods. Breakfast was a full one, more than continental, and the Lodge was very quiet. I read that weddings or other receptions might mean needing a room farther from the house. We would’ve crashed the party with the group! We only stayed one night, but I’d highly recommend this place for anyone after old world charm and ambience. This is where you want to stay.
