I’ve been an advocate for the Grille, but that may be over after this. Dinner service was great until we asked to take dessert home. The desserts were $9, I believe, and we were looking forward to eating them last night. Instead, the chambord chocolate cake was a minuscule portion wrapped in plastic wrap. Who serves dessert that way? My husband said it tasted okay, but presentation matters. My peanut butter pie was upside down, too. I’m surprised Jared, our server, didn’t check that the desserts were packed properly. Such a disappointing end to the meal, and it feels like they could have done a much better job.

That ribeye was cooked perfectly, and the mashed potatoes were fresh and flavorful. We also tried the tequila lime chicken fettuccine, which was unlike anything I’ve had before. The restaurant has a cozy feel, with elevated food and dining. Katie took great care of us. She was attentive, knowledgeable, and personable, and the service was impeccable. We were overflowing with praise and could barely contain our excitement. Truly one of the best meals of my life, and I hope we get to visit again.

The burger was big and well prepared, and the steak was pretty good too. Great food and ambiance, plus the blue cheese dressing is amazing.

The tepid clam chowder and disappointing main courses made last night fall short, even though we’ve enjoyed the Antlers for many years. The dinner salad was good, and the service and atmosphere were great, but the food wasn’t at its usual standard. The fish was acceptable. The risotto, though, was cool, clumpy, and sticky instead of smooth, creamy, and hot. The main portions were much smaller, and the vegetables amounted to a tiny garnish of julienned red peppers, red onions, and squash. We took home a $9.00 dessert and were shocked to find a tiny 3” square piece of cake wrapped in plastic wrap, with soupy whipped cream. So disappointing. We don’t think we’ll be back any time soon and are already looking for another restaurant.
