La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Tyler South

The location was perfect, near lots of restaurants and stores, and breakfast was great. The woman working in the kitchen was so sweet and nice. From the parking lot to my clean, great-smelling room, everything was amazing. The staff were friendly and helpful. I’ll definitely book here again, no doubt about it. This is what I call a five-star hotel, and I’d recommend it if you’re in the area.

There are plenty of places to eat and shop nearby, and the hotel is just far enough off the busy roads to avoid all that traffic. The common areas were clean and nice, and the fitness center was clean and well maintained. My spacious King Suite was clean, and everything in it worked perfectly. Breakfast was included, and the woman at the bar was attentive and kept everything stocked. I’d certainly stay here again.

We came for a family baby shower, and this place had what we needed. It was clean and quiet, close to everything, though there weren’t many amenities. Nice hotel.

We’ve stayed here around 4-5 times in the past six months and enjoyed it, but this visit left a bad taste. We had booked three nights, then tried to leave after the second when my next day’s appointments were canceled. Around 11:14 in the morning, I spent 10-15 minutes battling the automated phone system before reaching the front desk. The woman was rude and said I couldn’t get a late checkout and would be charged even if I left. I came back around 11:45 and asked what time late checkout was. She said noon. When I asked again because I couldn’t be out before then, she repeated rudely that I’d be charged because I hadn’t told them in advance. I understand some of that, but she made no effort to accommodate me, and the attitude really spoiled the stay.
