Studio 6 Extended Stay - Columbus, GA -Downtown

The location is perfect, just minutes from downtown Columbus. I ended up in a very large smoking suite, probably because of my own mistake. When I explained the miscommunication, they said there was nothing they could do. It’s a place to sleep.

Very disappointed. We couldn’t get into our original room, then they banned us for smoking even though we’d booked a smoking room. We wasted $75 on a bed with bedbugs. They need to post signs showing which areas are forbidden.

Right on the main road and just blocks from the Historic district and riverfront, this is a great central spot for touring Historic Columbus. There are restaurants and shops all around it.

I booked through a third-party site, Booking.com, or I would’ve left as soon as I arrived. People were hanging around with guns and trying to sell drugs in the parking lot and lobby. I went back to the car for our things, and two men walked by, looked us up and down, and one pulled a gun halfway out of his hoodie pocket. I was scared, but went up to the room anyway. Then I saw the door had been kicked in, was bowed at the bottom, and wouldn’t lock. We didn’t feel safe, so we grabbed our bags and left. On the way out, we saw the men who’d flashed the pistol talking with the employee in the lobby. The staff and motel manager know what’s happening and don’t care, so they were no help. I’m reporting the motel to the health department, police department, and Booking.com. I trusted Booking.com to put me somewhere safe, and that wasn’t the case. Don’t waste your money here. You could get robbed too.
