The staff were the best part, high quality, quick with answers, and the front desk even called to see if the room was okay. Breakfast was very good. The hot tub was heated really well, though the pool could have been warmer. The room was small but clean, with a strong air freshener smell that might bother people with sensory sensitivities; the temperature unit was off when we arrived. The hotel is conveniently located next to the local airport, but we didn’t hear planes taking off or landing. We did hear other guests a bit. Pretty good for the price range.

Some parts still feel old even though the hotel has been renovated. The door handles, outlets, switches, and wardrobe weren’t updated, and that takes away from the experience.

Five stars for being America’s worst Fairfield Inn, I guess. There’s only cable, the bedding smells like previous guests, and the room lights are harsh. The heater is noisy, and you can hear shouting in the street at 3 am. The coffee’s poor, and the whole setup feels mickey mouse, with BO.

We booked adjoining rooms, but when we arrived, solo travelers had been put in them. The only option offered was to separate our kids into another room on a different floor. We switched to one room instead, but it smelled moldy and damp as soon as we entered, so we had to change rooms again just to get away from the smell.

I found it pleasant and would come back, even though I’m not sure why the hotel has so many negative reviews. The rooms were clean, the location was great, service was friendly, breakfast was good, and parking was great. Highly recommend.
