Motel 6 Ukiah, CA

Motel 6 is a friendly stop while traveling, and I’m enjoying its new location. I ran into trouble booking online, but the staff sorted it out quickly once I arrived. I like the room.

The worst place ever. I got stuck in the finger by a used syringe someone before me had hidden in the room. Now I’m waiting for Motel 6 to be held liable for not cleaning properly. Of every place I’ve stayed, this was the worst experience of my life.

The room was cozy and worked well for a stop to rest. There’s no microwave in the room, but guests can use one in the laundry area if needed. The location is convenient on the main street, close to lots of local stores. I was exhausted and misunderstood Mr.Mac’s name, maybe it was Max, but he was polite and compassionate. I booked through "priceline" and had trouble with the $100 deposit requirement. I didn’t have cash, and my card was locked after out-of-state use triggered a potential fraud issue, so I would’ve had to call to unlock it. Mr.Mac understood the situation and let me and my family get some rest. Thank you, sir, I’m really grateful. It’s a fair price and welcoming overall. This is my favorite of all the Motel 6 locations I’ve stayed at while traveling, and I’ll use it whenever I’m in Ukiah. For convenience, bring $100 cash. You can also use a card, but there’ll be a hold and your bank could take up to 10 days to release it.

The location is great, with lots nearby and fun nature spots to visit. The hotel was another story. My first room had no fridge or microwave, so I had to wait for another room to be cleaned. That supposedly clean room had blood and another stain on the sheets. The floor turned my son's feet black when he walked across it, so I cleaned it myself, then woke up feeling so sick the next morning. I’d booked a week to visit family but left the next day instead. I knew there’d be no refund, but the woman at the desk kept insisting I hadn’t left a deposit until she found it in the drawer. I also found the employee with frosted tips rude. I asked if I could break a $20 for the vending machines, and he said he’d do it this one time after giving me a hard time. I don’t recommend this place. It was very unsanitary.
