My grandpa owned this place in the 70s, and it used to be nice. I just spent four days there and felt totally embarrassed by how it’s become. There are mice in the rooms, and it smells of smoke and illegal drugs. There were fights going on outside during the day. The property hasn’t been maintained for years, and it’s a complete embarrassment. One rude woman takes care of the place, which is strange when they have two other buildings sitting empty for reasons I don’t know. It was $82 a night with rats. We slept in our car the last night. Do not stay here!

The woman in the office seemed nice, and the TV and A/C worked, but I wouldn’t recommend the place. We were towing and had to park a ways from the room. Room #9 smelled and was dirty, and by the end I was afraid to shower. We’ll stay somewhere else next time. The bathroom was falling apart, the bedding was torn, and there was dried blood on the mattress cover, so we slept in our clothes. The freezer hadn’t been cleaned, with something spilled and frozen inside. The coffee maker was broken, and the pot was stuck to its burner. Outlets were broken and seemed like a serious fire hazard. We couldn’t charge our phones or plug in the light or clock radio. Check every outlet before plugging anything in. The power wasn’t working either. The coffee maker was broken.

It felt like this hotel might have been nice back in the seventies. Our room was 88 degrees and smelled of propane. The furnace had no off switch, only a thermostat that barely did anything, so we ran the A/C all night to counter it even though it was pleasant outside. I’d have been more comfortable in the car. I strongly suspect the owner created accounts to post any positive reviews.

I’m glad my son and I stopped here. Our room with two beds was clean and had a fridge, oven, and microwave. After tax it was just $77, which wasn’t bad at all. The woman who checked us in was super nice.

The night clerk was nice enough to bring us clean sheets and pillowcases, but the manager and staff were extremely rude when we complained. The manager even yelled at us. Well before the 11 am checkout, the manager called saying we had to leave because people were waiting for the room. I would not recommend staying here. In an extreme situation, sleep in your car instead. The room was disgusting and felt unsafe, with no deadbolt. We changed the sheets ourselves because there was a lot of hair on them and the pillowcases. The pillows were yellow-stained and smelled awful, so we had to get Febreze. There was blood splattered on the ceiling above the bed and an old bodily-fluid stain on the bathroom door. Hair covered the bathtub and clogged the drain, the toilet was hard to flush, and the sink looked like it was about to come off the wall. There were bugs and cobwebs everywhere, and the floor hadn’t been vacuumed. I stepped on thorns. The fridge freezer had so much built-up freezer burn that nothing fit. The Wi-Fi password they gave us was invalid, so there was no internet at all. Maybe that keeps people from posting reviews of this nasty place. Sickly feral cats were all over the property.
