Country Hearth Inn & Suites Union City Atlanta

The front desk staff was friendly and helpful, and everything seemed fine until I turned around after putting dinner on the chest of drawers. I wasn't ready to eat yet, so I was changing out of my street clothes when I saw a 🪳. I turned on a second light and it ran into the first drawer, where I couldn't find it. Later I ate a little and tied up what was left in a plastic bag. When I got home and got ready for work, the 🪳 was stuck to the bag under my food. That nasty 🪳 came home with me. My heart was beating so hard. 😭😢🤢🤮🤢🤢🤢🤢

11/8/22. The only good part of this stay was the extremely nice front desk clerk. I can't say you get what you pay for at $75, since I've had cleaner rooms for less. The sign saying "No refund after 10 mins of checking in" makes sense to me now. The building smelled like weed as soon as I came through the side door. A bum was inside by the stairs, smoking and drinking beer, but hurried out. Awful first impression. The stairway was filthy, smelled horrible, and had a sticky floor. The door to my room was so hard to open I practically had to do tricks. I was disgusted as soon as I got in. The room was horrible, with no towels, tissue, or amenities. The AC made a loud, obnoxious noise all night, gnats were flying around, the furniture looked like it had been picked up from the side of the road, the walls needed painting, and the bathroom was disgusting. The water pressure was low too. Just horrible. The website pictures should come down because they're false advertising. Manager, spare me the apology. I've read the other reviews, and apparently nothing has changed. This hotel needs to be closed down.

They don't even deserve a star. The first room smelled strongly of cigars, gave me a headache, and had a dirty bedroom and bathroom. They moved us to another room and let us check it. It was clean, but everyone was smoking cigarettes, so we grabbed our things and left. I asked for a refund, but he wouldn't give me one.

The staff couldn't have been better, but management needs to wipe out the bugs. If we judge it as a low-cost motel, it's three stars. The trouble is that even a low-cost motel costs too much these days. This one was $80 a night.
