Motel 6 Union City, GA - Atlanta Airport

Vicky at the front desk was outstanding and went above and beyond. Our truck was pretty big, but he let us park it on the side. The room was clean, and the washing machines and TV worked well, with no static. I watched the Dodgers win the World Series. I came on November 1 and had a great stay, with helpful people and a clean place close to everything. Thank you for a lovely visit.

These rooms need proper cleaning and repairs, even if they haven’t been renovated. Our socks were coated in dirt after one day, and the mop water turned dark when I cleaned the floor. I saw one roach, possibly from outside. I was shown several rooms, and all had dirty walls. One had just been cleaned but still smelled like men's cologne, and the floors weren’t level. The hospitality was fine. I'm trying to add pictures.

After working all night, I came back to find out we had to move from room 103 to 208, even though I’d been told I could extend my stay. I have a nonverbal autistic son, so suddenly changing rooms was especially difficult. They said someone else had booked it, but I’d already reserved it online under my name, so that didn’t make sense to me. I felt they simply didn’t want us in the room and had given it away. I was also charged another $45 on top of the $87 I paid online because they said check-in was at 3 PM, something I hadn’t seen stated on the website. When I first arrived, there was a dead roach under the air conditioner. I won’t stay here again. That’s not how you treat customers, especially after telling them an extension is possible. If you come here with a disabled, nonverbal autistic son, expect things like this to happen.

We picked this place for its location near where we were headed and the good reviews, but I left disappointed. Our so-called non-smoking room smelled strongly of smoke all night and was dirty. Even our cats didn’t want to leave their carriers. We chose it partly because there were no pet fees. I didn’t see any bugs, at least. I heard there are renovated rooms, so maybe those are behind the good reviews. The smoke detector wasn’t on, which I’m sure isn’t to code.
