The whole building is run down and poorly cared for. It smelled of Indian food throughout. The lamps were rusty, the chairs and pillows stained, and the bathroom hadn't been cleaned. The air conditioner filters looked like they hadn't been cleaned in a long time. Cheap plank flooring was loud and felt very dangerous with wet feet coming out of the shower. The mattress was rock hard on a metal box, which sounded like a filing cabinet tipping over whenever I moved or got into bed.

The room felt unsafe as well as dirty. The door didn't lock automatically, and my sister and I felt incredibly unsafe overnight. For $120 a night, I expect at least a clean room and bathroom. There was no breakfast, though after seeing the state of things, I wouldn't have eaten it anyway. Hair was on the shower walls, a razor cap was in the tub, and the tub itself was dirty. It looked like nobody had cleaned properly in a while, maybe just straightened the bed. There were stains everywhere, including on nearly all the lobby furniture, and the soap had clearly been used. The lobby had a strange smell, the fridge didn't work, there was nowhere to hang clothes, and the walls were stained and peeling badly.

At 72, this was one of the worst hotels I've stayed in. The TV and AC worked, although the AC was dirty, but just about everything else was a problem. I booked an accessible room, yet furniture blocked the way from the entry and there was no room around the bed. I had to shove the refrigerator and dresser aside to get my chair in. The chair was dirty, the desk legs were loose or breaking, and the window looked like it hadn't been cleaned in years. The armchair arms were stained, and the bed made a sound like a warped metal plate. In the bathroom, the sink was separating from the wall and the trap leaked, so I put a towel underneath. The tub was stained, the fixtures were in bad shape, the tile floor was dirty, and there was no ice bucket. I had to run an extension cord from the bathroom for my CPAP. There was also a payment mix-up: I'd prepaid, but the desk man wanted me to pay again until I showed the paperwork. Another guest was complaining about bedbugs as I left the next morning, and I'd heard others mention them too, though I didn't experience any myself. The neighborhood felt sketchy, so keep an eye on your car. This place needs to be razed and rebuilt.

We left after the concert and drove an hour and a half home through a wintery mix instead of sleeping there. When we returned to the room before the show, there were a fire truck, an ambulance, and two cop cars in the parking lot. The door barely fit its frame because it had been painted so many times and had to be forced open. The main light was out, half the furniture was broken, doors wouldn't shut, and drawers were crooked. Two coffee cups in the bedside table had dried coffee stains and grounds in them. Worse, the drawer between the beds had roach droppings and several live roaches. At the desk, the clerk didn't seem surprised and didn't apologize for the poor room. We'd booked because we were in town for a concert.
