Hyatt Place Utica

We’ve stayed here twice in five years, most recently last night. Our home had no power, so we brought our two little ones for heat and electricity and hoped to make it fun with the pool and Dave & Busters next door. The room was spacious and the beds were very comfortable, and we did sleep well and enjoy the stay. The pool could’ve been warmer, and I was sorry there wasn’t a hot tub. I’m not giving it five stars because the room didn’t seem to have been vacuumed before we arrived. Our one-year-old still puts things from the floor in his mouth, and there were obvious food chunks along the bed frame and clumps of string or fabric. We also asked for a pack n' play for the littlest one, but it was dirty, with baby puke stains and a few other questionable substances. I wish we’d brought our own. If he were under one and very tiny, there’s no way I’d let him sleep in it. Please replace them or stop offering them. It was gross. I don’t think this place is ideal for very little kids when it comes to cleanliness.

I first stayed here in 2008, soon after the renovations, and returned several times over the next two years before moving to the East Coast. After many years away, I stayed again recently and had a very pleasant visit. The rooms are still clean, comfortable, and convenient, breakfast was nice, and the staff were courteous and lovely to talk with. The location works well for me when I visit, and I’ll certainly be back.

My job books my hotels when I travel for work, and this one was definitely a hit. Check-in was quick and easy, and I was surprised by how huge the room was. It was spotlessly clean and quiet, and I had a nice stay. Thanks, and keep up the good work!

The staff were kind and attentive, and breakfast was good, with plenty of fruit and a plant-based milk option even though it wasn’t fancy. Our room was huge, very clean, quiet, and insulated from sound, with lots of storage and a large comfortable couch. I’m obsessed with Hyatt rooms. The pool was lovely, and the fitness center looked great, though I didn’t get to check it out. I love hyatt and will stay again.
