The Pratt Smith House B&B

The homemade breakfast downstairs was delicious, and it was nice to have a friendly chat in the morning. I also liked hearing train whistles in the distance when I woke up. It gave the stay a bit of a time-slip feeling before the day got going. I was there for one night. The owners were gracious, helpful, and very kind, and my room was cozy and warm. Everything worked as expected, which hasn’t always been the case for me at historic B&Bs. I’d happily recommend staying here.

Breakfast was the highlight, it was delicious. Alan and Anne were gracious hosts, and the cozy room had a comfortable bed. We were in Utica for a friend’s wedding, and the Pratt Smith House was a lovely place to come back to. If we need to return to Utica, we’ll go back.

Breakfast made each morning feel special. It was freshly made, delicious, and changed from day to day. The whole place has a warm, home-like feel, and the hosts were kind and quick to respond. They made us feel cared for while giving us complete privacy. We slept well and felt refreshed. The bed was comfortable, the amenities were excellent, and everything worked as it should. The space was spotless, quiet, and beautifully maintained, with thoughtful details throughout. It was clear a lot of care had gone into making it somewhere guests could really relax. The location was convenient while still peaceful, so it was easy to enjoy the area and return to a calm place. We had a wonderful stay at the Pratt Smith BnB and would absolutely come back. I’d strongly recommend it to anyone looking for a welcoming, high-quality stay without stress.

We had a cozy room and slept comfortably every night during our 4-day stay. The hosts were warm and friendly, and breakfast was wonderful, with fresh fruit and a nice variety of foods. They took extra care to offer lactose-free options. We look forward to returning.
