Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Vacaville by IHG

When I came back a few days later, Jasmine was just as impressive as Kalem had been. She checked me in quickly and sorted out a few problems with my third-party booking, with a great attitude. Kalem at the front desk had been amazingly helpful and upbeat after a long travel day, going above and beyond. The rooms were clean and the beds comfortable. I’ll definitely make this my regular hotel in Vacaville.

Jasmine at the front desk deserves a shout-out. She was fast, friendly, and incredibly efficient, arranging everything in less than 3 minutes when we called. We’ve stayed at Holiday Inn Express & Suites Vacaville before, and it’s always been comfortable and easy, so HIE&SV was our first call for another stay. Jasmine’s service is one of many reasons we always choose HIE&S in Vacaville. Five-star service and quality every time.

The breakfast setup is roomy and easy to use, with plenty of seating that isn’t crammed together. The buffet layout makes it simple to reach everything without getting in anyone’s way. Staff keep the food stocked, the area clean, and things running smoothly. They’re extremely friendly, and the hotel is well maintained, with a very good price for what you get. Attention to detail really makes a difference here. This Holiday Inn Express near the Vacaville Premium Outlets is among the best I’ve stayed at. Check-in staff were welcoming, and the usual brand conveniences include free parking. The guest laundry has several washers and dryers, plus a wide range of detergents and other products for sale at fair prices. The pool and hot tub area is organized, with plenty of towels, and there’s outdoor seating to relax in. Complimentary lobby treats include cookies and coffee, including decaf, with lots of sugar choices, syrups, and other add-ins. From 5 to 7 pm there’s also a happy hour with three wines and two beers free. The property looks fairly new and is in great shape. Rooms are clean, beds are comfortable, and the shower pressure is excellent. The room furnishings are high quality, and the interior feels more premium than I’d expect in this category. It’s unusually bright, which I liked, and the TV is very large. There’s a coat hanging area by the entrance, which is rare in hotels now. Both sides of the bed have several outlets and USB-A charging ports. As an IHG member, I also got a printed summary of my points balance on the room key sleeve, a small but impressive detail.

The pool is closed right now, even though that was the main reason we booked. They’ve also taken away the outdoor benches. My wife and I used to come here because it felt comfortable and welcoming, but since the renovations a couple of years ago it feels sterile and cold. I suppose it’s clean, at least.
