Super 8 by Wyndham Vacaville

Breakfast could have had more choices. It was mostly waffles, cinnamon rolls, or yogurt, plus coffee. Aside from that, I had a good stay at Super 8. The rooms were very clean and well kept, the staff were pleasant, and the property felt comfortable.

The worst hotel stay I’ve ever had. We lost personal belongings when staff threw out our bags, which we had placed visibly by the main entrance while we were about to bring the car around and load them. They said they thought the bags were trash, even though they didn’t look like trash and none were in garbage bags. We also left a smartwatch worth around $400 in the room; after several calls, the hotel kept saying they couldn’t find it. The hotel was old, dirty, and poorly maintained, and management showed no understanding. We wanted to leave for those reasons. Booking.com said only the first night should be charged as a penalty for leaving early. We’d already stayed and paid for that night, and Booking.com confirmed that departing early for the remaining days wouldn’t be a problem. The hotel refused and charged us for an extra night anyway, despite our leaving sooner than planned. Between the condition of the place and management’s behavior, it was a genuinely terrible experience. Avoid this hotel.

The first room I was given reeked of animal urine. The “manager” Dina also refused my service animal and argued with me in front of my children. She said I should have called before booking to ask whether they could accommodate my medical condition, and told me that if my children felt uncomfortable, they should go outside. She claimed to know about the ADA but didn’t understand the difference between service animals and pets. I was completely mind blown by her disgusting, unprofessional attitude and felt she openly discriminated against people with disabilities. The owner’s response only confirms how uneducated they are. There’s no such thing as an “ADA” animal, and that isn’t the correct terminology. Service animals aren’t pets. Everybody knows that.

There was arguing and fighting, and I saw RATS all over the premises. The rooms were DIRTY when I arrived and smelled like cigarettes and 💩. Staff were rude and unprofessional. They’ll make up lies about you and keep your deposit. There was too much illegal activity.
