Austria Haus

Breakfast was decent, though it didn't quite live up to the quality of other similar stays or the hotel itself. Even so, we had an amazing time at Austria Haus in Vail and will definitely return. The location is hard to beat, and the hotel is beautiful. Our room was clean, cozy, and comfortable. The staff made the biggest impression. Gladys was thoughtful and kind, and went out of her way to make our birthday stay feel special and memorable. Abraham was friendly and welcoming, too.

Paul, the manager, made a huge difference for us. He was courteous, attentive, and genuinely caring, and whenever we needed help, even with a small thing or a last-minute request, he handled it quickly and kindly. It was clear he takes pride in helping guests feel comfortable and supported, especially families. Traveling with our baby was easy here. The hotel is steps from the slopes and Vail Village, but still felt calm, cozy, and welcoming. Our room was clean, comfortable, and set up well for a family, and the whole place had a warm, personal feel. We stayed at Austria Haus in Vail from December 17-21 with my husband, baby, and brother. We couldn't have asked for a better trip and are grateful for the care we received. Austria Haus, especially Paul, made the visit unforgettable. We'll absolutely be back, and I'd recommend it to anyone visiting Vail, with family or otherwise.

The room was quiet, comfortable, and well kept, and the heated bathroom floor was a lovely surprise in the cold. Breakfast was good, with a relaxing dining area. Gladys and Paul at the front desk were welcoming and helpful, and Richard and the car and luggage team were great, too. They were flexible about check-in and, since they had space, let us leave our car parked for a while after checkout. We really appreciated that. The location is excellent, just steps from Gondola One at Mountain Plaza and the bus stop for Lionshead village. For the price, it was well worth it, and I'd stay again if I return to Vail. Keep up the great service!

The breakfast had everything we wanted, from fresh waffles and house-made blueberry muesli to egg sandwiches and fruit. All the staff we met were pleasant, helpful, and professional. Paul Nygren, the manager, stood out as extremely friendly, helpful, and professional. My friend and I haven't had hotel service this good in years. The hotel felt warm and welcoming, cozy but elegant. Our spacious room was comfortable and quiet, and we never heard the adjoining neighbors. Everything was clean and worked perfectly. The bathroom floor heaters, fireplace, and comfortable side chairs were welcome touches. We used the robes and enjoyed the spotless drinkware and lovely glass carafes of water. The Keurig worked great, and they provided tea and hot chocolate. I've already recommended the hotel to several friends, and we'd absolutely stay again.
