Alfonso really looks after his guests. He suggested a local place to eat, and the office sells snacks for less than the store.

The room looked odd, and “nice” is a matter of opinion. The clerk explained that renovations were still underway and that we’d be put in one of the nicer rooms. She offered to show it to us before we checked in, and we took a look. We were only there because Florida evacuations had been ordered, most hotels were already full, and this one had a few rooms left. Even so, we got one of the best nights of sleep we’ve ever had. The bed was extremely comfortable, the shower water was really hot, and everything was clean. We’d come back. If you just need a place to sleep and take a hot shower, this will do. If you’re after the Ritz, go there.

The new tile floors get slippery when wet, so I wish they’d put some non-slip rugs down. Most of the rooms have been renovated, and my wife and I like them. We try to visit a couple of times a year and use the pool in summer.

We were impressed, especially for this price range. The bathroom, fridge, and microwave were all very clean, and bringing our dog was no problem. I hope people remember that roaches are everywhere in southern Georgia.
