Quality Inn South

For one night, the place is passable, and the staff were helpful and very friendly. Breakfast was good, the usual kind for this chain, and the room was clean. The beds in our room were in bad shape and need replacing, though, and the buildings looked rough and run down. The room paperwork listed pool hours, but there is no pool. I walked around looking for it, then checked Google Maps' satellite view, which shows a pool that used to be there and has since been filled in. The hotel needs a full renovation, or maybe a new one built in Valdosta.

The staff were great, five stars for them, and the front desk girl was very nice when I reported what happened. The hotel itself gets one star. It's outdated, and although the rooms were clean, the price didn't feel justified. I took a towel that was supposed to be clean from the rack and found blood on it. I showed her the photo and explained it, but something like that should be addressed right away. Afterward I checked the other towels before using one. They also claim to have a pool, but there is NO POOL. I won't stay here again.

We stopped here on our way to Jacksonville, and it was a wonderful visit. The room was clean and the air conditioning was cold. My toddler was thrilled with the strawberry waffles at the free breakfast. The man at the desk was super friendly, and the woman there in the morning was really nice too. The pool was awesome. This will be our regular stop from now on!

We checked out soon after arriving and went to another hotel. Nobody was at the front desk, so check-in took 10 minutes. The room was incredibly dirty, with burn holes in the bedspreads, dirty ceiling tiles, beers left in the fridge by previous guests, a desk chair falling apart, and drip stains behind the bed. I was too afraid of bedbugs to bring our bags inside. It was a really uncomfortable place.
