Super 8 Valdosta Mall

With my handicapped mother, we were put in a really dirty room next to a pile of junk, including old air conditioning units. There were dead and live cockroaches in the bathroom, which was extremely unhygienic. Breakfast was hardly an option: the juice machine was broken, there was no bread or other bakery food, and they had cereal but no milk. A very disappointing stay. I'd give zero stars if I could.

The AC and heater were incredibly loud and sometimes kept me awake during my week there. People were smoking marijauna outside my room, and the neighbors were VERY loud. I called the front desk, and they quieted them down without hesitation. The room was okay overall and I enjoyed the stay, though there was some grime in the otherwise clean bathroom. I checked for bugs and inspected the room when I arrived. I'd return without my kids, but wouldn't want them around that.

My room was clean and had recently been remodeled, and that side of the building was in decent shape. The outside was scary as hell, though. Walkways were broken and lopsided, and the awnings joining the two buildings were twisted and falling apart. They looked dangerous to walk under. Some windows were broken and boarded up. I can't honestly say whether I'd recommend it or not.

At 1:30am we discovered we'd booked the wrong date. The attendant wasn't helpful, and we had to spend 30 minutes on the phone with customer service fixing the room while he waited. Exactly what I wanted to be doing at 1:30am.
