Best Western Valencia/Six Flags Inn & Suites

The room and bathroom were clean, but there were plenty of frustrations. Parking was nowhere near adequate, the tiny refrigerator was barely useful, and the elevator stopped working twice for about an hour each time. The yogurt machine stayed broken for four days, and when I asked twice, the desk clerk said it would be fixed “tomorrow.” Breakfast never changed: the same odd egg puffs and cheap link sausage, plus hash browns that were undercooked and cool inside one day. The hot tub was broken and being removed. The shower had weak pressure and took 3-5 minutes to get hot.

The room was clean and decent, and the location is handy, across from Six Flags and close to shops and groceries. Breakfast was the letdown during our three nights: the same egg and potato muffins each day, and they weren’t brought out until after 6:15. The self-serve coffee was only in the lobby, not the dining area, and it was cold. There wasn’t any regular sugar either. Also, parking isn’t free.

We asked well ahead of time for a first-floor room, but that request was ignored. During our extended stay, the front desk said they didn’t provide room service, though they would take the trash and bring extra towels. The cleaning staff were nice and did complete the service. The room was somewhat clean, but the bed was uncomfortable and the pillows were rock hard. The heating and cooling unit didn’t work, so we couldn’t set a temperature. The parking area wasn’t well kept and felt questionable at night, and the broken side door meant anyone could get into the hotel overnight. We stayed here once before with family. We won’t come back.

We had a quiet room despite the hotel being next to the 5. I requested one on the non-freeway side, and the noise was reasonable. The rate was very fair, and the hotel was clean and comfortable, with great front desk service. It’s very close to Magic Mountain, with plenty of restaurants and shopping nearby. There’s a Dennys in the parking lot, and across the street there’s a Starbucks, a Mexican restaurant, and maybe a few more places. I’d stay here again.
