We used to stay here every winter for a Magic Mountain trip, but this last visit was my last. It had been a great property until BRIGHTON MANAGEMENT bought it in 2022, and it has gone downhill badly. The hallways and upstairs were noisy all night, the other guests seemed very different from before, and the hotel no longer makes up rooms or changes towels. The toiletries felt like dish soap, so bring your own unless you want to ruin your hair, and the towels were like 80 grit sandpaper. There were bugs in the shower, a shower valve leaked all night, and the toilet clogged easily. Breakfast, once a free continental meal, now costs $24. The complimentary shuttle to Magic Mountain, which used to take you there and pick you up, is gone too. If you book through Expedia, Priceline, or another online travel agent, they charge $15 a day for parking at check-in. The hotel website says parking is free and lists it as an amenity. I only discovered the charge while checking breakfast hours. It feels like they want booking sites to bring in guests, then make those guests cover the commission through the parking fee. I’ve never seen a scam like that, and find it unbelievably deceptive and unethical. You’re directly paying their advertising budget. Gross. Avoid this place. I’d rather stay somewhere nicer and take a Lyft to the front entrance.

Check-in was quick, and the restaurant stayed open late. After a long day at Six Flags, it was nice to be so close. The room was very nice, with a really large bathtub and a comfortable bed. We could also use our streaming services on the TV.

The location couldn’t be more convenient for Magic Mountain, and the property was clean and felt safe. Rooms were clean, beds comfortable, and breakfast was good. Staff were professional, courteous, knowledgeable, and willing to go the extra mile. We left an important item behind, and Roy Rodriguez, the front office supervisor, went out of his way to help get it back to us quickly. When we called, a kind and helpful person answered right away and was ready to assist. We’ve visited lots of Hilton properties as Lifetime Diamond members, and it’s rare to find one run this well. We really enjoyed the stay, and appreciate the help even after we left.

The Hilton Garden Inn in Valencia was a solid place to stay. Free parking and the on-site laundry were essential for our trip, and having McDonald’s right next door made quick meals easy. It was the best-priced hotel in the immediate area, though I still thought the value for money could be better.

This was amazing for my Six Flags trip. I got breakfast in the morning, and the chef was phenomenal, making bacon, eggs, pancakes, whatever you asked for. The place also has views of Six Flags nearby and a pool. Keep up the stellar work!
