The room and decor were outstanding and tasteful. I loved the wooden card for opening the door, the seat in the elevator that you need to use to get to your floor, and the gym and pool. The location is great, with a CVS nearby. The customer service desk and valet were wonderful, and breakfast was amazing. A great experience, aside from two things: they apparently only have some special bougie ketchup, and it was awful, not normal ketchup. Also, the blinds use a string instead of a remote, and the draw is extremely heavy. It ended up breaking on us, though they do have blackout curtains. Hopefully they come up with an easier system.

The suite was the highlight of my Park Hyatt DC stay. It was spacious, thoughtfully laid out, and luxurious without feeling over the top. The bed was very comfortable, the Wi-Fi worked flawlessly, and a shoutout to the person at HQ for choosing the bath products. They may be some of the best-smelling I’ve come across in all my hotel stays. I may or may not have thought about taking a few extra bottles home. The location was great too, far enough from downtown’s chaos to feel relaxed, but a quick cab, Uber, or scooter ride from the restaurants, bars, and attractions I wanted. My only complaint was the hotel bar: surprisingly small for a place of this caliber, with no TV in sight. That’s not a big issue unless you want to catch a game or keep up with sports over a drink. Still, I had a fantastic, comfortable stay in an elegant room. Go with confidence.

We ate at Blue Duck Tavern, and though it’s no longer Michelin-starred, the food and service were still fantastic. The area around Park Hyatt is quiet and residential feeling, which was peaceful, though you’ll probably need a car or Uber to get to the main attractions. This was another great stay. Service was good across the board, and they kindly upgraded me to a spacious, well-appointed junior suite. It’s a great choice for a high-end, comfortable trip, whether for business or yourself.

The kids loved the breakfast buffet and getting to pick their own food, and the meal we ordered from Blue Duck Tavern through room service was tasty. After a full day walking around the monuments, having it brought to the room was so convenient. The pool was a big hit too. The water was actually warm enough that they wanted to swim for more than five minutes. I was traveling with my two kids, both under six, and we had an amazing stay. After our super early flight, we dropped our bags and started check-in. We got a text while eating breakfast to say our room was ready, which was incredible. It’s about a five-minute walk with kids to the Foggy Bottom metro stop. The staff were welcoming and helpful. I’d absolutely stay here again.

The rooms have been updated, and the Spanish-style shower beside the modern bathtub was amazing to experience. There’s also a well-equipped gym, plus a nice pool and hot tub next to it. We had a wonderful stay, with great service and amenities. The location was perfect, close to Georgetown and lots of great restaurants and attractions. You can walk to pretty much anywhere interesting in the city, or take public transportation.
