Heritage Hill Cabins

The place itself is beautiful, and I was compensated for one night when the house door could not be locked. But the keypad lock stopped working after the first day, and although I was told it would be repaired, it was not fixed until three days after we had left. Getting help or reaching staff was extremely difficult, and their conduct felt very unprofessional on several occasions.

We had such a good time visiting the Mast Inn farm across the road and meeting the lovely animals. The cabins are clean, cozy, and clearly cared for, and management made us feel welcome from the start. It's peaceful here, away from Boone's crowds, but still only about a 15-minute drive downtown. Families and pets are well accommodated, and it really feels like a home away from home. We can't wait to return in warmer weather.

The beds were comfortable, and the kitchen had more than enough equipment. We brought extra things for cooking, but didn't need them for the big family dinners. Our family took over Heritage Hill Cabins for a week in late June, with warm sunny days and cool nights in a perfect Blue Ridge mountain setting. Jeanna responded quickly whenever a small issue came up, while also giving us space, and nobody had any complaints about the accommodations. Boone was an easy place to get groceries, and the little park down the road was a treat, with running paths, kids' play equipment, places to fish for 'bows in the beautiful river, and carved tree stumps along the walking path. The suggested $5 donation was well worth it. Thanks, Jeanna. We'll be back!

Raspberry Hill Cabin was a lovely place to unwind, with a big deck, outdoor shower, swing, soaking tub, and rocking chairs. The property is quiet and well kept, and the goats and chickens were fun to see. There's a short walk downhill to the Mast Farm Inn. We didn't eat there, but the barn across the street has a good beer selection, ice cream, soft drinks, a flower garden, and a lawn with corn hole. We spent a relaxed afternoon there before heading back to the cabin. It's a great home base for Boone and Valle Crucis, and we'd stay again.
