Breakfast was great, and our room was comfortable. Tessa and Bernard were friendly, attentive hosts who made sure we had everything we needed. The Taylor House Inn is a lovely old home and a refreshing change from impersonal hotels. I'd happily stay there again and would recommend checking it out.

I've stayed here several times and keep coming back. Tessa and Bernard are wonderful hosts, and the breakfast is elegant and consistently second to none. I've gotten to know them and the care they put into the business. There's a sign in the living area that says, “Enter as strangers, leave as friends”. That really does sum it up.

For our anniversary weekend, we couldn't have picked a nicer place. The grounds are lovely and offer plenty of spots to sit and take in the surroundings. The rooms are pretty and comfortable, Bernard and Tessa are welcoming, and breakfast was amazing, especially Tessa's Belgian waffles. The location also makes it easy to get to attractions in different directions. We had a relaxing stay at the Taylor House Inn.

We enjoy old places and have traveled a lot in Europe, so the Taylor House was just our kind of stay. It's a peaceful, charming 1911 home converted to a B&B, kept in the period style. The rooms were clean, and robes and other amenities were a nice surprise. The hosts were friendly and wanted us to enjoy our time in the mountains. Breakfast was freshly made each day and came with delicious coffee. If you want a modern room with a TV everywhere and a microwave breakfast, a hotel or motel may suit you better. We thought this place was wonderful and don't understand why anyone wouldn't like it.

We were welcomed by Tesse and Bernard like old friends, and had a wonderful second stay at the Taylor House Inn. Our first visit was during the Highland Games in 2017, when a guest played his bagpipe on the front law in the fog after a summer rain. We'll always remember that. This time, Tesse surprised us with home-cooked French-flared breakfasts, including poached peaches, homemade peach croissants, fresh rice pudding, breakfast casserole, savory waffles, poached eggs with hollandaise, and plenty of coffee and juice. After hiking and sightseeing, we came back to homemade pound cake and drinks, and cheese and wine were available in the early afternoons. We loved sitting on the porch listening to birds and watching a deer family run through the yard. Our room was warm and inviting, with soft sheets and blankets on the bed. The bathroom had the essential soaps and towels, plus a small fridge stocked with bottled water, sodas, chips, and snack bars. We thoroughly enjoyed it and hope to return soon. Thank you, Tesse and Bernard. Paula and Chris Hoyt
