Hampton Inn Vallejo

The rooms are comfortable, and I like the setup, the metal racks by the TV, and the lovely-smelling bathroom soaps. Management is nice, the staff are great, and security was attentive to activity outside. I hope ownership puts more into the property and keeps up the Hilton brand. On my visits of 12/31/25 and 1/20/26, though, I had real concerns about cleanliness and maintenance. There were fleas in the first-floor accessible room, so I moved to the third floor and exchanged rooms. I received c🎂points. The shared areas also need attention. The pool area had spotted, dirty, torn furniture, and a handwritten sign said the hot tub was broken. The room cleaning was poor too. There were obvious dirt patches on the heater, light switches, and bathroom walls, and in every room I've stayed in, the bathroom baseboards were dirty and the door paint chipped. At breakfast, one of the two waffle makers was broken, the chicken sausage patties were only partly cooked, the French toast was over-microwaved, and the batter hadn't been refilled, leaving a long line for waffles. It's in the hood, but that has nothing to do with the condition of the inside and guest areas. Customers are worth the upkeep, and rooms need pest control.

The bed was comfortable, the room was very clean, the staff were friendly, and I really appreciated breakfast. I found this hotel because it was close enough to Kaiser for an early appointment, and I'll stay here whenever I come to the hospital. I had accidentally booked the wrong night through a third-party site at a nonrefundable rate. The woman at the desk was lovely and assured me they'd work with me. I booked the correct night right away and crossed my fingers. The booking site said the reservation was nonrefundable but would check with the hotel. Before bed, I got notice that the hotel had approved the refund. I'm so grateful. Thank you.

I've been working out of town a lot and have been staying at Hampton inns. This Vallejo one is really nice. The staff are friendly, everything is clean, and the amenities are excellent. The continental breakfast has enough variety for almost anyone.

Four nights of party music and dancers overhead, plus a dog barking next door, was enough. Then they moved me to a room facing an even louder, busier street, and there was no hot water there. The maintenance guy, who didn't speak English, tried to tell me how to turn on the water. Seriously? I emailed the general manager, Damon, and he didn't even bother to reply. I checked out early and went to another hotel. Never again, I do not recommend it.
