Motel 6 Vallejo, CA – Napa Valley

The location is a little sketchy, but the service was excellent. Every staff member I met was friendly and service-minded. The room was roomy, with two queen beds, a microwave, and a mid-size fridge. It was clean everywhere I checked, from the floors to the linens and countertops. They also put out free muffins, coffee, and hot water during the day, not just in the morning like at other Motel 6s. I had a rough trip and lost one of my dogs that night, so having a good stay meant a lot. I usually don't have a pleasant Motel 6 experience, but I had no complaints here. It's one of my top one or two Motel 6s in North America, and the highest rating I've given one. I'll come back when I'm nearby.

The room was decent and I slept well, but I was disappointed there was no shampoo or conditioner. At least they had bar soap.

The pool was in great shape, and the staff seemed to take pride in looking after the property. My room wasn't bad, though it clearly smelled of smoke. I've had rooms at pricier hotels that were no better. The location felt a little scary, which could be an issue if you're a first-class spoiled princess like me. Having Grocery Outlet next door was handy, though.

The office staff were helpful and pleasant, and the rooms were clean and spacious. The bedding and towels were average, but having a refrigerator and microwave was great. Shops are across the street, with places to eat just a short walk away. The area was only okay, though we had no problems. Parking at the front felt safe, while the other side seemed sketchy, and some people there looked a bit sketchy too.
